THE ELEMENTAL GROUP EXPERIENCE

Dive in and experience the fun and play of a group shoot. This session is for people who want all the bells and whistles. These shoots, fire, underwater, wind, earth, are perfect for bachelorette parties, birthdays, reunions, etc and includes:

3 hours of swim and underwater expression. This is a leisurely amount of time that allows for a very relaxed pace for our time together.
100% privacy - the pool will be completely ours. If it’s a colder season, I will find us a heated pool.
You may include an unlimited amount of people in your shoot. Whether you choose a solo session or 20 of your friends - you decide how you want to spend your time in the water. *This does not guarantee individual photos of each person if you decide to do a large group photo.
An online gallery of minimum 25 retouched photos
I retain the rights to all images to be used on my portfolio. If you’d like to keep all photos taken private, that is possible at an added cost.
Includes prop wardrobe of many colored fabrics
You can have full creative direction, mermaid tales, Victorian dress, clown suit - your call!

For this option, you purchase your “seat” at the pool for $300. There are 8 people invited to participate.
What to expect:
- we spend the first hour warming up and getting to know one another casually by pulling Naked Conversation cards.
- the second hour is spent in the pool practicing holding our breath and swimming together. taking direction and getting comfortable in the water.
- I will break the group into two groups and photograph with less people. Then we conclude with each person getting a few minutes of solo time to pose and shine.
- A gallery of online images will be provided at the end for you to enjoy and share if you like. *high-res images available at additional cost
- Images from the shoot will be shared and used in my personal portfolio, but I will always check with you first.
- Connections and memories that’ll last a lifetime.

SMALL GROUP (3-5 PEOPLE)

90 minute private underwater pool session. This is a great opportunity to reimagine a traditional family session and create a fun and lighthearted experience for everyone.

- 90 minutes of swim and underwater expression. This is a leisurely amount of time that allows for a very relaxed pace for our time together.
- 100% privacy - the pool will be completely ours.
- An online gallery of minimum 25 retouched photos.
- I will retain rights and usage of the photos. This is an honor system wherein which you recognize I will want to use these photos for my online portfolio and print shop. THE TWOSOME

60 minute underwater pool session with a person of your choosing. The twosome sessions are perfect for couples, 2 friends or 2 kids. This is a great opportunity to play while creating art. We will embrace a lighthearted, safe environment where you can feel your best. These sessions are great for folks that consider themselves “bad in front of the camera”.

- 60 minutes of swim and underwater expression.
- An online gallery of minimum 10 retouched photos.
- I will retain rights and usage of the photos. This is an honor system wherein which you recognize I will want to use these photos for my online portfolio and print shop. That being said, if I choose images that make you uncomfortable, I will work with you to find images from our gallery set we can both agree on. However, I rarely choose images people don’t like of themselves - you sexy thangs you.

SOLO DISCOVERY

An immersive underwater photo experience where you connect deeper with yourself and find appreciation for your body and abilities. We will embrace a lighthearted, safe environment where you can feel your best.

- Creative direction can be collaborative in these shoots but because I will be wanting to use some of them for my portfolio we will need to have a similar vision.

LAND PORTRAIT SESSION

Mountains, oceans, rivers abound - this session is for you to get in touch with your inner elements and unleash your wild abandon.

Sessions start at $675 - which begins with 60 minutes of shooting in one local location. Cost is determined by length of time and number of locations.

- An online gallery of minimum 20 retouched photos.
- Creative direction can be collaborative in these shoots, of course budget will determine how much we can accomplish together vis a vis location hire etc.
- Includes location scouting if need be
- I can provide wardrobe fabrics if that is part of your vision

FAQs

A big part of why you have come this far is because you saw the work I create and thought, “I could do that!” Being naked is a big part of what makes these images timeless, like the paintings you’d see in the Louvre. If you are feeling shy or would like to keep from baring it all, I bring with me lots of colored, beautiful fabrics for you to choose from. There’s no shame in wanting to cover up, but a big part of the thrill and experience is the vulnerability of stripping down to nothing.
We will spend 15 minutes talking and warming up. I will explain what to expect when you get in the water and we will set the intention for the space and our time together. This will be a great time to tell me if you have any anxieties about the shoot. I can reassure you it’s about having fun and trying something new. I will do everything in my power to make sure you are comfortable while still pushing your creative expression.
I wish I could guarantee all the conditions to be perfect to do your session in a natural body of water, however it’s a huge risk for both of us to make the investment and show up to a river or lake and have it be too murky to do underwater shots. Or to the ocean and the waves are too rough. I also can’t guarantee privacy at any of these locations. I reserve natural water sessions for experimental shoots where expectation and time is not a risk. I know natural water is a desired location for many. If your heart is set on this I can explain more about the risks of this scenario if you’d like to send me an email or talk on the phone. It’s not impossible, just risky!
Yes! You don’t need to know how to swim well, just well enough to survive. If you have a special needs we can talk about ways to make a shoot work for you. It may require you have someone else with you to assist.
They are for anyone who has an open mind and a will to let go and let the experience take hold of the moment. I love working with couples, friend groups and solos. No matter how you identify this is a safe and inclusive space for all.
No! I will do the leg work here, as I know exactly what we need for perfect conditions. However, If you have suggestions, I’m always game to explore new places as long as the location checks all the necessary boxes. The main one being clear water!
You might be wondering, is there a discount if you find the pool?
There are a few boxes to check when finding the right pool. It cannot be tiled or overly elaborate. We get the best effects by using monotone cement or fiberglass pools. It needs to be outdoors and in full sun.
The pool rental is something I take care of, so you don’t have to stress, and is included in your session cost. If you are providing the pool, and it checks all the boxes, there is a $50 discount.
Extra retouching such as taking out elements of the photo, converting from color to black and white, skin retouching etc is $35/image
All my pricing includes my right to be able to share photos from our session on my social media, to create prints (upon mutual agreement) and to post the photos on my website.
If you are wanting to do a session but would like to keep your photos for private use only, there is a “Privacy Package” that I offer for the cost of $450. The reason I charge more for this addition is that I rely heavily on being able to showcase our photos to bring in further work. So without the use of photos, there’s no way others can see the progress and glory of the magic we create.

(Though I'm sure the ones she withheld captured some of that awkwardness..) I'd never done an underwater shoot, and the closest I'd come is seeing one on America's Next Top Model circa 2004. I am not a natural in front of the camera either, but immediately felt Jessie's professionalism, expertise, and empathy as she took a few minutes pre-shoot to explain exactly how things would go (including the fact that she was still new to this and didn't know exactly how things would go), a way to keep time (which I appreciated as a client in not being shocked that it was over, but instead having an idea of a countdown!) and our options. Although the pool was a bit chilly, her positive attitude and willingness to be flexible in every way (including an option to ditch the pool and just do photos in a hot tub) made me feel immediately comfortable.
