Having Jessie handle photography for our wedding couldn’t have been a better choice. I probably underestimated the importance of working with someone so well equipped, confident, and familiar with the ins and outs of wedding photography - she and Justin handled our couples shoot before our ceremony, family photos, ceremony, reception, dinner, and post dinner celebration with nothing but ease and grace.

My wife Megan and I have worked with many photographers through the years being professional musicians/performers.

We’ve seen countless images of ourselves and our bands, and other bands, in many different scenarios and shoots. I have come to know, and have befriended many different photographers and I can name probably 20 of them off the top of my head. No two are the same.

There are definitely some that are better than others. What it takes is someone with “an eye” as they say. Maybe it’s just preference, but it seems that like with all art, the cream rises to the top. When it comes to the work of Jessie McCall, I really can’t think of a better photographer. I’ve always said she is my favorite and she definitely has proven it to me time and time again. So when my partner and I were discussing who we would want shoot our wedding, we both thought of Jessie. She was the first choice out of those 20 others to shoot our wedding for a reason. Weddings are different than concerts obviously, so when we asked her, we didn’t even think she did that kind of thing. When she said she did and that she would love to be our wedding photographer, Megan and I were both overjoyed! And she did not disappoint, as per usual.

She knows how to “get the shot”, and got so many golden ones! Along with the help of a small crew(we had Alex and Justin both top of the line photographers), Jessie knows how to direct and delegate to cover every base. Jessie did the photos for the intimate wedding ceremony we had in the spring of 2019. Five years later, I love my photos more than ever! I've taken far too long to write this glowing review for Jessie, mostly because I have so many wonderful things to say about her that it’s been hard to know where to begin! My husband and I had the privilege of having Jessie as our photographer for our wedding day in August 2025 and she was such an important part of our day. We'd been following her work for years through Above & Beyond shows and I'd actually shown up in a few of her images from events over the years and I'd always loved her work. I reached out to her about my wedding in upstate NY thinking there was no way I could make it work to hire Jessie, but after our first chat I knew she had to be a part of my big day.

My husband and I aren't super comfortable in front of the camera, but Jessie made it easy and fun. We did our engagement shoot at an music event in NYC on the Rooftop at Pier 17 just for something different and very us, and we enjoyed feeling special with Jessie following us around with her camera!

Jessie was absolutely wonderful at our rehearsal dinner and on our wedding day. The photos turned out amazing and she captured so many special moments and candid shots, which was so important to me and something I knew was her speciality after all of the music events she's captured.

I'd never anticipated the impact Jessie's presence and energy would have on my guests as well. It was so cool to hear from one of my groomsmen the day after the wedding how wonderful Jessie was, and to hear the same from my Dad along with his comments "she was working so hard during the ceremony! She was all over the place to get the best shot but she was never in the way"

It was fun having Jessie on the dance floor with us late into the evening, capturing many memorable dance moves as well. I felt like she became a friend through the process after all of the support she provided along the way and am forever grateful for Jessie's positive impact on my big day and the lasting memories she so thoughtfully and skillfully documented for us.
